Dang Thu Ha has had a passion for food, nature and design since childhood. She grew up in the rural Mekong Delta of Vietnam with her family and grandmother and learned to cook and make crafts at a young age. Her passion for design led her to study landscape design in Ho Chi Minh City. While living on Con Dao island she started Madame Ha Vegetarian Cuisine to introduce her contemporary take on traditional Vietnamese food in a calm and relaxing environment for Con Dao  locals and visitors. 

Ha participated in many beach cleanups on Con Dao, and in 2019 she started Netcycle when the idea struck her to create functional items of beauty out of discarded fishing nets.

In recent years Ha has shifted her focus to offering her Netcycle products to a wider audience by growing her Con Dao and Vietnam-based  community of fishermen and craftspeople who make products of beauty and utility to be enjoyed by their lucky purchasers for years to come.
